Creating Great Content for Your Conscious Business Website

Updated: May 23

Reach and Engage Authentically

In the digital age, your website is often the first point of contact between you and your potential clients. If not the first point, it is often how your client connects with you from your social media. For conscious businesses—such as spiritual advisors, earth-centered businesses, mediums, and psychics—creating content that resonates with your audience is crucial. This blog post aims to inspire and provide practical tips on how to craft content that not only attracts but also deeply connects with your audience.

1. Embrace Authenticity

Authenticity is the cornerstone of any conscious business. Your audience is looking for genuine connections and real experiences. Share your personal journey, your values, and the mission behind your business. Authentic content builds trust and fosters a deeper connection with your audience.

Tip: Write from the heart. Share your story and the passion that drives your work. Authenticity cannot be faked, and your audience will appreciate your honesty.

2. Tell Compelling Stories

Storytelling is a powerful tool that can transform your content from mundane to magical. Stories engage the reader’s emotions and make your message more memorable. Share client success stories, personal anecdotes, and experiences that highlight the impact of your work.

Tip: Use a narrative structure in your blog posts. Start with a compelling introduction, build up the story, and conclude with a meaningful message or call to action.

3. Focus on Value

Your content should provide value to your audience. Whether it’s through educational articles, practical tips, or inspirational stories, ensure that your readers walk away with something beneficial. This not only positions you as an expert in your field but also keeps your audience coming back for more.

Tip: Create content that addresses common questions or challenges your audience faces. Offer solutions, insights, and actionable advice.

4. Incorporate SEO Best Practices

While creating meaningful content is essential, it’s equally important to ensure that your content is discoverable. Incorporate SEO best practices to improve your website’s visibility on search engines. Use relevant keywords, optimize your meta descriptions, and ensure your content is well-structured.

Tip: Use tools like Google Keyword Planner to find relevant keywords for your niche. Incorporate these keywords naturally into your content without compromising readability.

5. Engage with Visuals

Visual content can significantly enhance the appeal of your website. Use high-quality images, videos, and infographics to complement your written content. Visuals not only make your content more engaging but also help convey your message more effectively.

Tip: Invest in professional photography or use high-quality stock images that resonate with your brand’s aesthetic. Videos and infographics can also be powerful tools to illustrate complex concepts.

6. Encourage Interaction

Engagement is key to building a loyal community around your conscious business. Encourage your audience to interact with your content by asking questions, inviting comments, and creating opportunities for discussion. This not only boosts engagement but also provides valuable feedback and insights. For example, "In the comments section, please share what area of ways to release the past you would like to know more about.""Sign up for our mediumship demonstration today and receive a 20% discount on your ticket."

Tip: End your blog posts with a question or a call to action. Encourage your readers to share their thoughts, experiences, or questions in the comments section.

7. Stay Consistent

Consistency is crucial in content creation. Regularly update your site and blog with fresh content to keep your audience engaged and to improve your website’s SEO. Create a content calendar to plan and schedule your posts in advance. Many potential clients and even existing clients are turned off by dated material and calendars (workshop in May 2024, for example) and are not likely to return. I find that posting on social media, and posting blogs engage more people when posted on the same day of the week at the same time.

8. Social Media Tip: Regular Day, Week, or Monthly Special Short Posts

Regularity provides something to look forward to for your followers. As a powerful companion to your web presence your social media posts can boost visits to your website. On most, if not all your posts, include your website URL. Think about posting in social media daily with a short affirmation, quote or tip, or on a certain day of the week with specialty posts like "Miracle Monday", "Saturday Outdoors", "Thursday Thoughts on Parenting". Or, post a monthly specialty post, "Spirited Book of the Month Review", "Day Trip to Sacred Site of the Month", etc. I get great responses from my, Healing Friday posts that I schedule regularly.

Tip: Aim to publish new content at least once a week. Consistency helps build momentum and keeps your audience looking forward to your next post.

By following these tips, you can create content that not only attracts but also deeply connects with your audience, just what we want to do as conscious providers. Remember, your website is a reflection of your conscious business, and the content you create should embody the values and mission that drive your work. Happy content creating!
